"THE FAME MONSTER" TO BE RELEASED IN 3 VERSIONS

(Santa Monica, CA) Lady Gaga announced today that she will release her next album, The Fame Monster, in three different versions – a standard version of the new 8-song album; a deluxe version which includes both The Fame Monster and her massively successful debut album The Fame; and a collector’s edition super-deluxe art book version, which includes both albums, fanzines, 3-D glasses, paper dolls, a puzzle, pictorials, a lock of Lady Gaga’s hair and other surprises.

Says Lady Gaga, “In the midst of my creative journey composing The Fame Monster, there came an exciting revelation that this was in fact my sophomore album. I would not add, nor take away any songs from this EP, it is a complete conceptual and musical body of work that can stand on its own two feet. It doesn't need The Fame."

"We may have an economy, but MUSIC HAS NO ECONOMY. I will release four or more singles from The Fame Monster, tour the world with The Monster Ball Tour, and most importantly I insist on honoring my fans with an affordable new album, an album that is as loyal to them, as they have been me."

The standard and deluxe versions of The Fame Monster will be released on November 23, 2009. The collector’s edition super-deluxe version will be released on December 15, 2009.

Lady Gaga is the first artist since the inception of monitored airplay to chart four #1 hits at Top 40 Radio – "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "LoveGame," and "Paparazzi." She will perform her next chart-topper, "Bad Romance," on the American Music Awards (ABC) on November 22, 2009.

Released last October, The Fame has sold over four million copies worldwide, and the singles from the album have sold over 25 million copies. A re-package of the album entitled The Fame Monster will be released on November 23. The Fame Monster contains eight new songs, including her next smash hit “Bad Romance.” Lady Gaga hits the road later this month with her “Monster Ball” tour, starting on November 27 in Montreal.

Says Lady Gaga, "On my re-release The Fame Monster, I wrote about everything I didn't write on The Fame. While traveling the world for two years, I've encountered several monsters, each represented by a different song on the new record: my ‘Fear of Sex Monster,’ my ‘Fear of Alcohol Monster,’ my ‘Fear of Love Monster,’ my ‘Fear of Death Monster,’ my ‘Fear of Loneliness Monster,’ etc.”

“I spent a lot of nights in Eastern Europe, and this album is a pop experimentation with industrial/Goth beats, 90's dance melodies, an obsession with the lyrical genius of 80's melancholic pop, and the runway. I wrote while watching muted fashion shows and I am compelled to say my music was scored for them. I also composed a ballad for the album, ‘Speechless,’ a song for my father, and it's my favorite work of all. I wrote every piece on the road - no songs about money, no songs about fame. I wrote it for my fans, so I wrote everything in between."

The first club-banging single, the RedOne-produced “Bad Romance,” will be released in early November. Other collaborators on the new tracks include Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, Ron Fair and Fernando Garibay.

Lady Gaga is also in the process of planning her next tour after her co-headlining tour with Kanye West was canceled last week.

ISLE OF MTV LINE UP ANNOUNCED
THE BLACK EYED PEAS, LADY GAGA, METRO STATION AND ESMÉE DENTERS TO PERFORM AT ISLE OF MTV MALTA

DATE FOR HIT SUMMER SHOW CONFIRMED FOR 8 JULY

London, 20 April 2009: MTV Networks International (MTVNI) today announced that The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Metro Station and Esmée Denters will perform at the Isle of MTV music event in Malta on 8 July. The artists will play in a free live concert in the spectacular Il-Fosos Square in Floriana in front of 50,000 people.

“We are thrilled to be announcing a world class line up for what promises to once again be one of the summer’s must-see musical events. The Isle of MTV Malta is unique in offering young people across Europe an exclusive opportunity to experience some of the world’s best new and established artists in the sunshine of Malta,” said Jules Robinson, SVP, Viacom Brand Solutions International. “This event has become a vital annual destination for music lovers from across Europe and we are delighted to be a part of it now for the third year running. For MTV, it’s a great opportunity to work with Malta in producing a stunning event in such beautiful surroundings and on a holiday island location.”

The Black Eyed Peas are one of the world’s most successful recording artists, gaining global recognition for their breakout album, Elephunk and the singles ‘Where is the Love?’ and ‘Shut Up’ and the subsequent triple platinum album, Monkey Business which sold more than nine million copies worldwide and spawned the Grammy Award-winning singles, ‘Don’t Phunk With My Heart’ and ‘My Humps’. In Malta, they perform tracks from their fifth studio album, ‘The E.N.D’, due for release in June and including the single, ‘Boom Boom Pow’.

The Peas' Will.I.Am says, “I can’t wait to take our new European inspired dance sound to Europe… I couldn’t think of a better place for our first Black Eyed Peas show in a long time. Malta….Wow”.

Lady Gaga is making a welcome return to Isle of MTV Malta after rave reviews for her performance at last year’s event. She hit the big time earlier this year with her number 1 hit singles ‘Just Dance’ and ‘Poker Face’.

At just 22, Lady Gaga made a name for herself on New York’s Lower East Side club scene with the infectious dance-pop party song ‘Beautiful Dirty Rich,’ and wild, theatrical, and often tongue-in-cheek shock art performances. She wrote the lyrics and melodies on her current album, ‘The Fame,’ an infectious mix of two parts dance-pop, one part electro-pop, and one part rock.

An Internet phenomenon and now an MTV ‘Push’ breakthrough artist, Metro Station, are bringing their energetic electronic dance-pop to Malta. The LA band formed as 17 year-olds back in 2006 and their first single, "Shake It", has already become a Top 10 hit across Europe. Metro Station released their self-titled debut album in Europe in March 2009 and continue to build on their multi-platinum success back in the US.

Dutch singer-songwriter Esmée Denters is undoubtedly on her way to musical stardom. Signed to Justin Timberlake’s Tennman Records, the 20 year-old started out posting videos of herself singing on YouTube and now can count some of the best-known songwriters and producers amongst her collaborators, as well as writing songs with Timberlake himself. She brings her edgy, soulful pop-R&B sound to Malta, including her first single ‘Outta Here’, a hybrid of urban beats, pop lyrics and rock attitude.
